Nevada Gold Star Families was formed in September 2009 to honor our fallen heroes and to support the families they have left behind. It is our goal to support Gold Star Families from the time of their notification through the ensuing years. Support for Gold Star Moms, Dads, siblings and spouses includes sharing of stories, photos, and experiences.

Life after receiving "the folded flag" is never easy, and is different for every family.

Our Organization is there to listen, to share and to support each other in times of need and sadness. We are also there to celebrate the lives of our Heroes, so that they will never be forgotten. Our Motto is "Because Freedom is Not Free" - and we know the price more than most.

100% of all donations go directly to Nevada Gold Star Families, no administrative costs are ever paid for through donations. We use our donations to fund events that honor our Nevada fallen heroes. It is our goal that eventually all our Nevada Gold Star Families would be able to attend events of Remembrance in Washington, D.C., as well as to attend local events in Las Vegas and in Reno, without having to worry about travel expenses.
