HONORING OUR HEROES
Veterans Memorial High School - The School Naming Committee Meeting is this Tuesday, September 23, at 6 pm, Hickey Elementary School, 2450 N. Hollywood Blvd., Las Vegas, NV. Please join the Gold and Blue Star Mothers, Marine Corps League, local ROTC groups, State Representatives, and many others. We have.
REMEMBER School Board: Cimarron Memorial is NOT Veterans Memorial. Please stop insisting that Cimarron is the Veterans School. You have it wrong!!! The school board changed the name from Veterans Memorial to Cimarron.
VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL
The excuse of "We'd love to do it, but the "Policy" says we can't" is a bunch of BS! First, we have plenty of examples of the School Boards of Past hasn't followed the "Policy." We also have done extensive research on the current names waiting for Schools and several of those break the "Policy." We're going to see how they vote on those names and bring that information to the Community. We suggest the School Naming Committee do there homework. We have. This article from the RJ sums up our School Board decision process. The latest press release can be viewed here.
Thanks everyone for showing up and emailing the school district to show your support for our Veterans and our Military Currently Fighting for our Country. Below is a link of some of the media coverage. It's worth two minutes to view it.

For months, the School District was totally ignoring me until the Media got involved, and had me running around doing everything they knew wouldn't accomplish the goal of getting a High School Named for our Veterans.
The Media has done an excellent job telling our story. The National Media is picking up the story as well. Even our Federal, State and Local Politicians our outraged at the decision.
Do the right thing School Board. Don't try to pretend it's the "Policy" you're hiding behind. Anyone that attended the meeting saw that several of the Board members were totally against naming the school after our Veterans. We would hate to disappoint the "Cheerleaders" who learned how to cheer with the name "Desert Oasis" at there new school.
You can contact the school board with the following link below and tell them what you think about their "Policy."

Feel Free to contact me anytime on this issue. Let's bring a little Patriotism back to our school. Yesterday was 9-11 and did you know not one of my kids' schools discussed the issue? It's a day we should never forget. Phil Randazzo 702.258.1995
